Embracing Early, Creating the Future, A Night of Purpose and Reflection

The countdown to the Embrace Early and Create the Future (EECF) Tribute Event felt special from the start. Not just because of the beautiful venue at Grace Midtown in Atlanta, or the energy in the room, but because of what the evening stood for, investing in children at the very beginning of their journey.
This incredible event was hosted by Sheltering Arms, an organization devoted to providing high-quality early education, strengthening families, and building brighter futures for children across Atlanta. And as I sat there surrounded by people who care deeply about these young lives, I couldn’t help but reflect on my own story.
I Wasn’t Born With a Silver Spoon
I know what it feels like to grow up without certain advantages. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon. I understand how much of a difference early support, guidance, and opportunity can make in shaping a child’s confidence, education, and future.
That’s why this cause spoke to my heart.
Because when we invest in children early, we don’t just change them today, we change their entire life trajectory.
Showing Up for the Ones Who Shape Young Minds
This evening was also about honoring the incredible women and men who pour into these preschool scholars every single day. The teachers, caregivers, and staff who show up with patience, love, and dedication to help children thrive during their most formative years.
Their work often goes unseen, but its impact lasts a lifetime.
I was honored to personally sponsor $4,000 toward this mission. Not for recognition, but because I believe deeply that giving back is part of our responsibility when we are blessed with the ability to do so.
Why Early Education Matters So Much
Early education is not just about learning letters and numbers. It’s about:
Building confidence
Creating stability
Giving children a safe place to grow
Supporting families who are doing their very best
Organizations like Sheltering Arms make sure children are given a strong foundation, one that many of us may not have had, but wish we did.
A Night That Turned Into Gratitude
As the evening unfolded, I felt overwhelming gratitude. Gratitude for the journey that brought me here. Gratitude for the ability to give. Gratitude for a community that understands the power of investing in children early.
Events like this remind me that purpose is found in service. That our past does not define our future, but how we choose to show up for others can help shape theirs.
I left the EECF Tribute Event feeling inspired, humbled, and reminded once again why giving back will always be close to my heart.
Because when we embrace early, we truly do create the future.
